Like the Jeep models before this edition, the 2026 Grand Cherokee comes with impressive powertrain muscle. A standard 2.0L Hurricane 4-cylinder turbo engine is under the hood of this SUV, and it unleashes 324 horsepower and 332 lb.-ft. of torque. In addition to core strength, this vehicle can use a 6,200-lb. maximum towing capacity¹. This means you’ll be able to transport a food or utility trailer to places like Lions Cub Park. Versions like the Laredo have an available 3.6L V6 engine that kicks out 293 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. Both powertrains can be paired with a standard 8-speed automatic transmission and an RWD system. While the gearbox provides smooth shifting during acceleration, the drivetrain gives the SUV reliable traction. Some iterations can come with available AWD, which allows the vehicle to grip the streets even during inclement weather.
Exterior Features
Regardless if it's foggy or you’re headed back to the Killeen area at night, the 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee is prepared for the trek, thanks to its standard LED headlamps and taillights. The standard seven-slot Black grille with chrome accents is back for this edition, and it gives the SUV an eye-catching aesthetic. Another highlight you’ll notice is the standard body-colored fascias. These bumpers are bolder, allowing the vehicle to stand out from models from different brands. Supporting the drivetrain is a set of standard 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels and all-season tires. Higher iterations have 20- and 21-inch variants, enhancing the expression of this Jeep model. In addition to its looks, it has an available hands-free power liftgate, which allows you to open the door by simply kicking under the rear bumper.
Interior Features
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is suitable for adults and children, thanks to its 41.3 inches of front legroom and 38.2 inches of rear legroom. This helps bring comfort to passengers while cruising along Interstate 35. If you’re going to do some light shopping, use the 37.7 cubic ft. of storage room² to your advantage. Extend your capacity even more by folding the standard 60/40 rear split seats and using the 70.8 cubic ft. of cargo space². To set the atmosphere to your liking, utilize the standard dual-zone automatic climate control system so you can enjoy one temperature while the front copilot chooses another configuration. During those brisk mornings and cool nights, turn on the standard heated first-row seats.
